I view therapy as a journey with many twists, turns, surprises, and discoveries. Sometimes the road is hard and my clients may need additional support to see where to step next. I feel blessed to be trusted to walk this path with each person.
Adolescents, couples, phase of life changes, anxiety, depression, nonmonogamy, poly-identified, kink aware therapy, and sexual diversity issues.
My experience includes working as an trainee and intern at the John F. Kennedy University Community counseling center, where I worked with a range of presenting issues in conjunction with working as a school based therapist. Currently, I’m working as an elementary school therapist in the Cupertino and Union School Districts.
As a therapist, my approach is comforting, supportive, and focused. I utilize a wide range of therapeutic techniques tailored specifically for my clients, while at a core I am a solution focused therapist. Together we can keep you motivated in creating the life you desire.
A passion of mine is working with clients who live alternative lifestyles. One of my other passions is working with couples and I am looking forward to studying with Dr. John & Julie Gottman in July to further my training in the field of couples and relationship work.
I hold an M.A. in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from John F. Kennedy University, as well as a B.A. in Sociology from the University of California at Santa Cruz. I am a Registered Marriage and Family Therapist Intern with the Board of Behavioral Science and I am supervised by Regan Hunt, LCSW #22824.
