Min Kuang, M.A., AMFT #98078

Specialization:

I have a passion to work with couples. I offer couples counseling services such as premarital counseling, couple’s communication skills development, intimacy issues, as well as couple’s conflict resolution. I have experiences working with kids (k-5) through issues including ADHD, anger outbursts, and emotional disturbance due to parent’s divorce/separation and grief and loss.

My experiences include working at Santa Clara County Crisis Hotline and Santa Clara County Adult Protective Services, where I provided telemedicine and counseling to a diverse population. I completed my traineeship at John F. Kennedy University community counseling center working with adult individuals and couples; as well as providing therapeutic counseling services to elementary school students.

As a therapist, I have the ability to connect with clients and maintain a therapeutic alliance through reflective listening and empathic validation. I take pride in providing clients with a safe and non-judgmental space to process your inner thoughts and feelings. In session, you can expect to feel respected and heard, as well as receiving professional guidance in finding answers to what brings you to therapy in the first place. My hope is that you would experience healing and enjoy healthy relationship and/or marriage.

I hold an M.A. in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from John F. Kennedy University, and a B.S. in Finance from SUNY Plattsburgh. I had worked in the finance industry for more than 10 years, as well as volunteered within the South Bay community in various roles. In my spare time, I I enjoy reading, practicing yoga, and playing the piano. I speak fluent Mandarin and Cantonese. 我精通国,粤语。
