Welcome to Nugent Family Counseling Center, proudly serving our clients since 2015! We are currently operating at three office locations: San Jose, California; Los Gatos, California; and Reno, Nevada as well as through telehealth. 

Here at  Nugent Family Counseling Center, we support a diverse community of children, adolescents, adults, and families who are affected by conditions such as addiction, depression, anxiety, trauma, stress, and grief. We strive to provide clients with the tools needed to understand and acknowledge the effects that their emotions and behaviors have on themselves and their relationships.

We provide many innovative therapy approaches, including dialectical behavioral therapy, psychological testing, psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, marriage counseling, and anger management. We also offer family counseling sessions that focus on reminding them what they love about each other and utilize a combination of individual, family, and couples therapies.

We are proud to offer neurofeedback treatments, which utilize positive reinforcements for the brain to help the brain change its patterns of function. Neurofeedback has been scientifically proven to have positive effects on behavior, attention, mood, and cognition. This treatment can be done in our offices or at your own home with our Home Units. We understand that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to counseling. As a team, we aim to get to know all clients on a personal level and work together to create informed care plans. We also recognize that clients evolve throughout the counseling process and ensure that sessions and techniques are consistently modified accordingly.
