Hello! My name is Scottie Blanton and I am a dedicated clinical psychologist with a profound commitment to tailoring therapy to suit the unique needs of each client I serve. With a strong emphasis on understanding personality, life experiences, and cultural context, I strive to choose the most suitable treatment approach for every individual. My journey began in my hometown of Phoenix, Arizona and at Arizona State University, where I earned my bachelor’s degree in Psychology. Pursuing my passion for helping others, my family and I moved to the Bay Area in 2014 and I furthered my education at Palo Alto University, where I completed both my Master’s and PhD in Clinical Psychology. Throughout my academic and professional journey, I’ve developed a deep-rooted passion for working with underserved populations, particularly those with Intellectual Disabilities.
My wealth of experience spans across a diverse range of age groups, from children to senior adults. I approach therapy with empathy, compassion, and a commitment to fostering positive change in the lives of those I work with. Currently, I am excited to be part of the Nugent Family team, where I am completing my post-doctoral fellowship as I prepare to pursue licensure. My goal is to empower individuals to overcome challenges, build resilience, and achieve their full potential. I believe that every person’s journey is unique, and I am honored to be a supportive guide on their path to well-being.
