Bret K. Schmidt, LEP, NCSP

Bret Schmidt specializes in psychoeducational evaluations and intervention planning for students, with a focus in high school. His goal is to provide informed, comprehensive recommendations in an accessible style that empowers students to realize and reach their potential, equips parents with the tools to best support their child’s development, and supplies schools with the essential information to provide appropriate educational plans.

Bret has spent many years as a school psychologist at the high school level and enjoys keeping up to date on new developments in the field, education code, and special education law. He has extensive experience facilitating Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, establishing special education eligibility, and consulting with educators and parents to develop treatment programs, intervention strategies, and accommodations. He also has experience as a Special Education Department Chair.

Bret holds an Ed.S in School Psychology from California State University, Fresno and a B.A. in Psychology from the University of California, Santa Barbara. He is a Licensed Educational Psychologist (LEP) and a Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP). In his free time, Bret enjoys rooting for the local sports teams, keeping up with the latest technology, snorkeling, and traveling with his wife.
