Corey takes pride in ensuring that his clients have space where they can be heard and feel supported. He ensures that clients are able to enter a relaxed state and are informed of what is happening and how they are making progress in their goals. He believes that everyone deserves an open and honest environment and disagrees that the truth has to be hard. He is excited at the opportunity that Neurofeedback has to offer individuals in bettering their lives. Corey aims to work with the client, as well as the expert therapists in the Reno office, to help the client make valued progress in the right direction, and to provide the best care possible to the clients needs.
Prior to working here at Nugent Family Counseling Center, Corey worked in the community in Reno to help teach behavioral management techniques and social skills to boys and men that experienced traumatic life experiences and changes while in the foster care system and beyond. He received his bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Nevada Reno, where he was educated in contemporary behavioral psychology and neuroscience. He also has a passion for philosophy and still takes an active interest in providing essential community services in his personal time.
