My name is Mya Amour Hayes, and I have been a Registered Behavioral Technician with Nugent Family Counseling Center since March 2024. I am from San Jose, CA, where I currently reside after finishing my BA at the University of Oregon. My professional background is in Applied Behavior Analysis, where I’ve had the opportunity to work closely with individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder in clinical and school settings. Working closely with these individuals has not only deepened my understanding of the unique challenges they face but has also ignited a passion within me to advocate for and support individuals. These experiences have highlighted the critical role of comprehensive social support systems and have motivated me to pursue a career where I can address not only behavioral needs but also the broader social and emotional well-being of individuals and families.
